New cartridge will add more than the phono stage unless it's a very poor one. As others are suggesting, get a new cartridge first and use with the built in stage. Can then try and loan one from your dealer or direct (Graham Slee have a home loan programme).

I have just updated my app and now have Qobuz connect. They say it's a trial. Unfortunately it doesn't work with either my Primare amp or Bluesound Node. Is anyone else trialing it and if so how is it?

I have a GS Era V. First thing to do would be to loan the Gram Amp and can then compare and see if there is any uplift. If significant then purchase. If not you have more money for records!
