Do you know if the bk gemini 2 and xls200 are good for music too and give what you call slam? These probably the only budget speakers made for music but I don't know about the quality.

Floorstanders are the only speakers giving more bass than the ones I now have. Speakers better than these will also be 400+ (euro) per speakers. Thats 200 (euro) more than these.

By extending the frequencies below the 60-70 hz (where my speakers fall off), the subwoofer will pick up, therefore making the bass notes louder to great a more flat respons overall. So in a way, the one creates the other. Will a subwoofer of 250 do that?

Good question. I don't know if the dali give me the full satisfaction as more mid and high oriented speakers with the full bass extention to 24 hz of a sub. I don't know how deep the dali go in bass in my small room.

I got the Philips 37pfl8684h/12. Checked it again on the Philips site. S/PDIF (coax) out is stated. No optical (a bit older model). Ill go with the coax to bypass the dac of the tv. I bet the one in my onkyo tx-8020 is better.
