Fatman 202 valve Amp - bookshelf speaker advice

For the record, the Revolver's are great. Wide 3D soundstage, deep enough bass & sweet mids. Good match for my valve amplifier and able to partner with both rock & classical music. Highly recommended.

Fatman 202 valve Amp - bookshelf speaker advice

The sub can wait for the moment as I have just pushed the button on some Revolver 3s. Although, I favoured the Kilpsch, there just didn't seem to be enough universal love of them and there were some comments about the quality of their build. The Revolvers on the otherhand had great write ups...

    New SACD Player

Thank you to all for your advice. I have now had a chance to compare the Sony to the Marantz and to listen to the Close to the Edge SACD and a few others that I have now purchased. It is on the back of this release that I have purchased the Sony - making the CD effectively a £170...

    New SACD Player

Thanks again for the helpful comments. I have ordered the Sony XE800 for £140 from Amazon, based on the positive reviews for both CD & SACD palyback and the fact I could find no reviews, good or bad for the Pioneer. It's only an entry only system but I am looking forward to it. I will post a...

    New SACD Player

Thanks to all for the very helpful replies. I have decided against a universal player as not surprisingly (and as an admitted very general comment) they don't all seem to play CD/SACDs as easily as a CD player - they seem to be issues on start up times, noise, display or even selection of...

    New SACD Player

Hi Tthanks yo everyone for their comments. I need to keep to £200 or so, as I have just bought a Graham Slee Voyager -:) yesterday. Like the idea of the Arcam 135 but haven't found one yet, and also the Denon, but both seem a little prone to wear & tear issues. I have been looking at reviews...
