Hi, I have 6004cdp/amp combo...All I can say is the marantz is not for symphonies and violin solos...There are some lacks in critical mid/highs you'll find in above mentioned...But for evrything else marantz is perfect(e.g. piano solo, jazz, etc...). Also for Rock and Heavy Metal enthusiasts...

Thanks On the MA-RX2 specs sheet its indicated the amp requirements of 20-100 watts RMS with the impedance of 6 ohms...While BX5s indicated 30-120 watts RMS suggested amp in 8 ohms. Running with 6 ohms the amp would gives me a tad more power too...? Thats why I thought they would be better...

Thanks for all the replys, I brought my amp to the shop and made some demoes with BX6, RX6 and the BX5...With the BX6 bass was good but as long as you are not beyond 10 H...The sound was a bit distorted at high volumes... Things were better with the RX6 but honestly I didn't like the look...

Hi there., I'm about to get a pair of new speakers for my quite one year old marantz 6004 amp... If I go for Monitor audio would somthing like bx6 or rx6 be easily drive by the amp? I rarely turn the knob beyond 10 o'clock...But I dont realy want buy anything make the amp sound distorted or...

They wont make a micro system sound similar to their component systems even if theyre entry level...
