    Tips on selling vinyl albums

Second the Discogs advice - you don't even have to join to check on current market prices. Also you may be pleasantly surprised: I had no idea a couple of mine were worth a ton (not that I'm planning to sell).

Rack for NAD M10 v3 Streaming amplifier and Rega Fono MC Mk4

Yeah those lagom guys will make any size you want. I'm getting a five shelf unit with all custom sizes. But it's really about the style that suits you.

Have you looked at lagom studios?

    Upgrade MP3 player query

To state the obvious most people listen on their phones. I've got one of these https://ebay.us/m/JCKQDT and am very happy with the lossless cd rips (which are my wont) on my shure se425s. There's also an upgrade path here of a usb dac by ifi or whoever, when you feel there's something lacking...

Bose 901 - need help finding equalizer

Two possibilities here: the historic 'graphic equaliser' with its sliders for different frequency bands (but note these would normally sit between pre and power stages) or as @Gray says the current DSP approach. I searched for 'phono pre-amp with DSP' and amazingly found a hit...

    Low sound

There is a dodgy connection somewhere - could also be on the source side, whatever it is you have plugged into it. In other words low output could mean low input!

    Had to happen

I agree with the above comments that if they've done the maths, they should show their workings. But the article doesn't pass the smell test. I know, owning an electric car, just how much juice it takes to move physical stuff in the real world. I play a lot of vinyl, and yes it's second...

    Question IMPEDENCE.

Should still be fine unless you turn the dial to max before switching to the 4 ohms - in which case you would have other problems like speakers jumping through the ceiling. If the amp drives A or B, then you'd just need to adjust volume when switching. If A and B (not sure why you'd do that...

    Question IMPEDENCE.

Not necessarily so. Most I've seen (see my Roksan) don't quite make it. I guess it's just value for money calculations - 220W should be enough, this side of an Oasis gig PA. I've never had my amp much beyond nine o'clock on my (nominally 8 ohm) speakers. On the grounds I'd like to keep my...

    Question IMPEDENCE.

This is about the power reserves of the amp. At 4 ohms the speakers will take more current as there is lower impedance to the voltage the amp creates. Similar relationship to the familiar formula V=IR between resistance voltage and current for DC. Amps SHOULD have indicated power into 8 ohms...

The changing nationality of a system.

My friend had one and I had a Trio. Could never get into the NAD, always sounded too laid back to me. Sort of 'yeah there's some music being played somewhere but it's not really grabbing me'. Had that thing about being 'the one to get' but never saw (or heard) why, those cool 'monolith from...

    RIAA amplifier or not?

Err.. the relevant bit of kit in the original question would have been the Yamaha RX-A 2030. Which i take it also has an RIAA phono stage. I was more commenting on the headline subject, which i take it would more felicitously have been expressed as 'do i need to invest in a separate phono...

    RIAA amplifier or not?

Your English seems very good - better I'm sure than I know another language!
