I currently have some gel isolation feet on the bottom of the speakers. Is there any kind of isolation that you could recommend, specifically? What kind of amps should I be looking at if I want something that won't break the bank or risk buying used stuff in questionable condition?

I wasn't aware the problem was so endemic! I'd agreed to £100 before I realised how bad the damage was, I thought it was just a bit dented and wouldn't affect the sound.

I am looking at purchasing some B&W 602 S3s, however, one of the dust caps is perforated on the mid-bass driver. How much will this affect the sound? And if so how easily repairable would it be?

It's maximum output is 250w, so ideally something similar to that.

Thanks for the info. I'm using them with some Mordaunt Short MS20i Pearl Edition speakers, which have a nominal impedence of 8 Ohms, so hope that won't be causing any issues. It doesn't have any issues in terms of playing them at a high volume.

Actually I've had a closer look and the edge of the speaker cone appears to be loose and flapping around somewhat. How are these best secured down?

No I've only ever used them connected to my pc. I can't notice any physical damage to speak of. I'm also getting the exact same issue with both speakers.
