    New amp suggestions

I would look at the Denon AVRX3400 or the Pioneer VSX-933 personally. As someone else pointed out if you prefer how the Denon units sound stick with them.

    advice on next receiver upgrade

Both the Marantz and Denon would be excellent choices. As you say they are similar now so they share a lot of technology which is mainly the processing and functionality for example Heos. It would go more down to personal choice and a demo to compare the two would be recommended.

New better Cart for a budget TT ?

From experience the TN300 needs consideration in terms of the cartridge being used due to the VTA of its arm. It would be better to go with another Audio Technica cartridge on tis deck imo.

What do you look for when buying speakers

For me outside of how something sounds I read about the technology being used in the drivers etc. In addition to this a massive part of it has to be design and finish and the quality of this. Lastly is the specification I know which speakers my amplifier will drive and what it will not.

    New speakers?

SCM19 should be listened to but as others said definitely home demo. I also noticed someone mention the B&W 705 again these are another speaker I would consider we have been really impressed by these when we have demonstrated these in store and listened to them. Another speaker I would also...

    Ae1 vs LS-50

As others have said the LS50's with a £200 amp isn't going to be well driven and you won't be getting anywhere near the capabilities of those speakers.

    New Amp advice

Definitely test it out that amplifier to make sure you are happy first. You could always suggest to her that you're looking into going full wireless and considering a streamer but want to ensure you have the right amplifier first . Esentially if you went down that route you could potentially...

Internet/DAB radio vs a regular bluetooth speaker and content from a phone

Hi Matt, Most of these stand alone Internet/DAB radios are for people who are less confident using applications etc or possibly don't have the internet so they can only use the DAB element. You also mentioned the other pro to them which is not having to use your phone to control the device...

    Bluetooth headphones

You definitely need a transmitter to enable you to do this. I wouldn't be sure of the sound quality however.

Who has moved from 5.1 to stereo?

I agree with the gentleman above. The Arcam and Anthem AV units tend to be more musical so they could be a genuine option for you. If you listen to music more than you do movies and get a lot more enjoyment from it it is probably better for you to go back to a stereo set up.

    Anyone buy The Last Jedi?

I found myself also having to turn the volume up quite high to decipher anything.

    New Amp advice

The RN-602 is very good for its price and has lots of features. I would also consider the Marantz PM6006 UK Edition as well as this unit. It doesn't have the Network connectivity built in however but this wouldn't be an issue if you were using the Chromecast going direct into its DAC.

    DAC or Streamer?

It might be slightly easier for you to get a streamer in your situation. It depends if you don't mind cable runs. Streamers to look at would be the Marantz to you mentioned. The Denon Heos Link, Sonos Connect or the Arcam R Play. The latter three do tend to have a more easy to use interface...

sonos or mini hifi for my conservatory

As others have mentioned it might be worth looking at some speakers that come in a white finish if you are worried about the issue of a Mono sound. Monitor Audio, Dali, Q Acoustics and Mission all have some very good options!

Brighter sounding than an Onkyo 9010

I would try one of the Rotel models or Yamaha as others have suggested also.
