SACD from digital output on Oppo93/95/CA751/PrimareBD32

Hi michael I want to get all my music on a NAS drive preferably, but it looks like SACD's are the only problem. It just saves buying new interconnects, if i can feed it through my DAC. I have the CA751 and suppose it should play through the HDMI although that doesn't sound as good as the...

SACD from digital output on Oppo93/95/CA751/PrimareBD32

Hi all Is there a way to get 2ch SACD to output through the digital outputs on these units. I want to feed it into a seperate DAC. If not is there a way to rip the 2ch SACD layer to a HDD in FLAC format so that it can be streamed.

NAIM ND5-SX or CA Stream Magic 6

I just received the following from CA "To do so is partially up to the core firmware provider Mediatek. They seem to be aware of the latent desire for control of this type so hopefully we might see some progress." Its always cloak and daggers and Chinese whispers :) If it isnt already on...

NAIM ND5-SX or CA Stream Magic 6

Sorry what i meant was do you think that CA will or are in the process of producing an app for the 751 to allow similar control to the app for the SM6. Obviously i understand you cant say either way for sure.

NAIM ND5-SX or CA Stream Magic 6

Yes it was and after seeing how the CA SM6 and Naim work it shows how awkward the 751 is. I asked them too but didnt get a decent answer. Basically said if they provide one they will announce it on the web. I thought no s..t sherlock How do you think the 751 and SM6 compare?

NAIM ND5-SX or CA Stream Magic 6

As always audition before you buy. Had a look at the Naim app today and it makes searching so much easier. The CA app looks just as good on the online video. All down to sound quality. The only difference i can see is that the CA SM6 only does 24/96 over ethernet while the Naim does 24/192. Is...

Why do some people (us?) care so much about the quality of sound reproduction?

I have to admit that ive purchased music purley on the grounds of sound quality, recommended by a friend or review say. I also believe that as a sytem improves it opens up a much broader range of music to the listener. Or maybe thats to do with getting older :?

Why do some people (us?) care so much about the quality of sound reproduction?

For me its all about the music, and getting it to sound how i want. Thats not to say i want it to sound life like or as the musicians intended, but making it so it entertains me. So that it gets me involved emotionally As for Hi Fi the hobby i hate it. I hate the fact that when im tempted, and...

NAS connected to Cambridge Audio 751

Hi Dandy Yes ive noticed that and ive only a few albums on a large usb stick and it takes a fair amount of time to scroll through it all, which is starting to be a concern for the future. John Ive just had a look at the CA StreamMagic 6 and that looks like a fantastic unit,. Additionally the...

NAS connected to Cambridge Audio 751

Ah i think i get what you mean. Im looking at its simplest form, putting albums in named folders so i can browse to them from the 751, which may get a bit awkward to manage over time as i add moreand more to the NAS drive. Where as by using a Upnp media server this allows greater control of how...
