Thank you for the comments everybody. Ended up getting the new PS Audio Stellar DAC. Actually got a very good deal on it which was the primary reason I pulled the trigger.. Bonus, it does come with an XLR output. Guess time for me to experiment and find out for myself.

You could look into getting a chrome cast audio for streaming Spotify, think they are still available on Ebay, it should sound better than the TV and is not expensive. Had 3050is for a couple of weeks, sounded good in the store, couldn't get it to work well in my room.

Think i have given the tubes quite some time to warm up, i have a tube preamp in the chain. To be honest, it does sound different, dont think its “better” or “worse”, just different which. If it stays as it is, would be pointless to spend money on.
