I dont think i would want to buy anything that ends with 901, Amstrad made a CB radio with that number in the early 80's & IMO it was absolute rubbish. A suggestion for you.. how about add Yamaha matey? Pioneer is no more for A/V Amps ;-) Onkyo i believe own the Pioneer A/V range

Have you given the correct model number? if so I hope you didn't pay too much for it. Reviewed by What Hifi back in December 2014 link http://ww.whathifi.com/panasonic/tx-58ax802b/review
I assume you have given an incorrect model number, the latest model is the TX-58DX802b.. Either way enjoy...
Personally i dont use the Onkyo SKH-410 atmos speakers any more as they were almost next to useless for me. I get a better effect by using B&W 686 S2's which match the rest of my system, set at the same angle (they have pretty much the same size woofers & tweeters in as the Kef Atmos speakers)...
Did you get the manual with this amp? & do you have a subwoofer plugged in to it?
If not maybe you need to go in to the speaker settings in the menu & adjust them.
Acccording to the manual this AV is part of a system listed as Pioneer HTP-071 & its power consumption is 165 Watts so a 5 amp...
Sorry if you thought i was being personal, but everybody's system is personal to them & the only way to discuss this is from your own personal experiences. So i am not saying you are wrong!! It is just a case of how things work for each & every individual.
As i don't intend putting in ceiling...
As am i!
I also hasten to add to this, that because i am not using Atmos certified speakers for those specific duties, i can, when i move, use them for front heights & rear surround if the need arose. Or I could buy extra speakers for a in ceiling setup or whatever is needed to optimize my...
Hi Son-of-SJ
I''m using B&W 686S2's which are not atmos speakers, but they seem to work well as atmos speakers. I have them pointing at exactly the same angle at the ceiling as the Okyo Atmos speakers i had. At the minute i'm experimenting with the Subwoofer cross over to see which gives the...
Hi BB
I've had a look at the amp & found the settings regarding the crossover frequency & it has set it at 150 so is chucking lots of the bass to the subwoofer, i can change it up to 200 which may make it sound better i suppose. I'm doing a rewire at the weekend so i'll let you know the result...
The crossover is set at whatever the amps given them on the MCACC.
All my speakers are set to small but you can not set the TMdr Atmos speaker size so i am assuming it is a default.
As to the hight i measured them for the amp at around 1.2 meters from the ceiling & after callibration it now...
A few choices here you could get a Yamaha YSP2500 Soundbar for around £500 this includes a Subwoofer. Another alternative is buy a Atmos amp for around £300 & get some speakers to match for a similar price, i would advise have a look at Richer Sounds for open box stuff (NOT REFURBISHED) as you...
Well on my Pioneer amp in the settings it asked me to measure the distance from the speaker to the ceiling then to use the Pioneers automatic MCACC setup using the supplied mic, it then measures the total distance of the reflected sound, this has worked fine for me. Also as far as i'm aware it...
