Cowon iaudio 10 or something else ?

The iAudio10 from Cowon is an older model of theirs now - I'd get the Plenue D from Cowon instead which will take a 128gb MicroSD card in addition to its storage. The price and sound are good.

    Chromecast

Chromecast and Chromecast Audio are two different things. As far as I know the Audio version is the only one that supports hi-def audio and multi-room. The Audio version has no need or connection to a TV. The audio device can cast to one or many sources on the same wi-fi network concurrently...

    Chromecast

The new Chromecast Audio is only for audio and a separate device to the Chromecast used for video. The Chromecase Audio streams not just to TV but to anything audio playback source you want to use - so very flexible. The audio one is fantastic - high definition and multi room support, wifi...

    Chromecast

Hi, Yes I use Chromecast Audio with Windows 10 - it works perfectly. In Chrome browser you download a little applet extension then can cast natively from within the browser. Very nice. Lots of sites have embedded it too such as BBC iplayer. cheers Mark

    Chromecast audio V Sonos Connect

Now supports multi-room and high definition audio - we are increasingly using it in the home. Works very well, no drop outs. For the price it's a no brainer to at least try.

Portable Sources with line outs? Ipod vs...?

The new iBasso DX80 is brilliant and has a dedicated line out.

    AKG N-60NC vs 451 or Y50

I also had the 490 predecessor which I lost during travel. I recently got the N60 and they are stunning, a massive step onwards to an already great set. These are serious headphones and a lot more evolved in refinement and therefore price to the other sets you mention. They don't compare at...

Portable Sources with line outs? Ipod vs...?

Also perhaps check out iBasso. I have the DX50 which has separate line and headphone outs. The sound quality is very good.

    Chromecast or Chromecast Audio?

I believe the non Audio version does support high resolution audio but it isn't stated. It definitely supports 5.1 surround sound if your equipment does.

Is there a digital radio with proper built in Spotify?

Hi, if you have a premium account on Spotify the Roberts 93i and possibly others in their range will run it fully from within the radio via Wi-Fi. Another option is to add a Chromecast Audio which runs on any radio and supports Spotify fully.

    Internet Radio with app functionality?

The BBC recently changes hobbit broadcasts on internet radio which affected the podcasts for many radios. I recently got the great Roberts 93i which works well. I don't use listen again or podcasts on it, but I can see zone.on the device. It's worth checking into.

    Best small radio under 500€

Sony, Philips and Roberts all do 'splash' proof radios designed for showers that that have rubber casing and buttons. Have a look at Amazon or the site of your choice. Search for splash or shower radios for the options. If you get a normal one like the nice Ruark it will corrode. I have a...

Spotify connect to my hifi via Android

Another option for those exploring this topic is via new Chromecast Audio device I received last week and have working. This casts Spotify via Wi-Fi to any audio device with a line in. It uses Wi-Fi so no drop in audio quality and works well. For the price it's an easy, quick and decent...

    Chromecast or Chromecast Audio?

I ordered the Audio version which arrived last week and is a perfect, one job done well solution. I guess it comes down to what device you are connecting to. If it is primarily a music related device then the Audio version is fine. If you want to extend into visual and connect via HDMI then...
