I guess it depends what you call loud... I used to run jet engines inside buildings thats loud.!!! In a room 5x4m like my mancave 50w a side is more than loud enough without causing permanant hearing loss...

I moved to a Yamaha amp for £700 and went back to my old rotel.. Run a Rega P3 with an AT 750Sh stylus thru a pair of B&W 606's and it sounds amazing.

New B & W 606's sound amazing for the money.

Spend £100-£150 on a good 30 year old Rotel 840 BX3 amp and you will be amazed. Has a great built in phono sound stage and has a switch to bypass the tone dials. Ive had one for 30 years and the sound is still amazing...

I have a Rega mm mk3 phono preamp... Is this good enough to put into a quality amp or are there better alternatives..? Im kind of swayed towards having a built in one like the Rotel amp I have... Unless there are great benefits to the contrary of course. M

Hi all... After 31 years stellar service i feel it is now time to replace my Rotel RA840bx3... I still like the sound it creates but ive had my moneys worth for sure from this amp. It sits in a small/med size room with a Rega P3 deck fitted with an AT vml750sh and drives a pair of B&W 706's...
