Had a quick demo of the yamaha amp today, not a side by side in depth test but its a great amp, i feel though the orignal A400 was a better amp, for me personally (when it was new that is). But it is hard to say without demoing them side by side.

dont bother your Proac have better bass than tge xls200,I had one with a set if ref 8 signatures and the bass wasn't significant. you need something much bigger to get what your after. look at a xls400 or better still a monolith.

totaly agree, had loads of standmounts over the years including the els3's and lots of other epos es speakers. I would have to agree that pound for pound the ms10i are king! they are a HiFI bargain. in fact i would say that these ms10i sound more like the orignal epos es11/ es12 than the epos...
