    Vintage Toshiba (seas) Driver Replacement

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, but I found the answer on another forum, simple fix! There's one thing you can try, before you proceed any further. With time, the spider (the accordion cloth that centers the voice coil) can sag, causing the voice coil to rub inside its course in the...

    Vintage Toshiba (seas) Driver Replacement

oh yeah, forgot to say, it has been serviced recently by the previous owner, problematic transistors replaced etc.. I suppose the appeal is that to me it sounds amazing, really rich or something.. But also it looks fantastic! Here's some more info on the driver:

    Vintage Toshiba (seas) Driver Replacement

Hi all, i recently purchased this: It's a vintage Toshiba 330 system, but shortly after i got it home i had a driver failure, (which was strange because I had the volume below half-way), I guess they are just very old speakers. Anyway there was suddenly exessive rumbling coming from one of...

Wow, picked up a NAD3020 for next to nothing yesterday (€60), i can pretty much spend my whole budget on TT and speakers, which is useful as i think i need four speakers due to my room size. thanks again for the info, looking into floorstanders as we speak!

Ok... i was looking at 5.1 systems because my room is quite large (i thought i would need a speaker in each corner), but i am happy to go with a loud stereo system. EDIT: Ive just realised that there is no reason i cant have four speakers with a stereo system  This would be a cheap...

Quite small budget im afraid - about 500 to 600 euro, i've got a feeling you're gonna tell me this is how much i should spend on the turntable itself! I listen to a wide range of funk, soul, rock, disco and reagae. I am prepared to do a small amount of tweaking (i record music and know a bit...

Advise a new system for TT

Hi, Im going to upgrade my crappy 1990's sony hifi system but need some suggestions (i only listen to vinyl)! i've been looking at various 5.1 systems but none seem compatible - at least they require an external phono pre-amp, but im not sure doing this will yield a good sound quality, after...
