Can't you just plug the bluray player into your TV and your TV into your receiver and pass the audio through?

What's the NR1504 like for music? I've been tossing up between the NR1606 and last year's SR5009. I also have a tube (Single Ended Triode) amp I can slot in after the pre-stage but it's a bit of a faff.

Bit of a shame the NR1606 doesn't have HDAM modules in the pre-amps. It otherwise really looks the goods for those of us with sensitive speakers. Has anyone listened to one and can comment on its musicality?
