Cambridge CXA81 bluetooth Vs Cambridge MXN10 streamer

It may be worth a look on Cambridge audio's site, they quite often sell refurbished units for a good price, you may get a good deal for the newer CXN of HXN. I got an Alva solo Phono pre amp from them (refurbished) it was just like a brand new unit, but much cheaper and still comes with a warranty.

Downsizing: can I get a similar sound for much cheaper?

I am currently going all digital (Streaming & CD). but I would NEVER part with my vinyl or Linn TT. They will be put into careful storage.

    XLR versus RCA

Thanks for that, you are correct CA do recommend RCA, connection, also they don't seem to think using the EXN as a preamp does that much...

    XLR versus RCA

Hi All, I am about to get a Cambridge Audio EXN100 streamer to match my EXA amp. I have a question for the team regarding connection. 1} I would need to get cables to connect them (RCA or XLR, I have already discounted a digital connection), so would XLR connection have any advantages over...

Question Speakers suggestion for Marantz PM-8003

Sounds like you have similar musical tastes to myself. Apart from speaker choice I have, surprisingly, found that the wire makes quite a difference to the bass. Least bass to most bass 1} QED silver anniversary bi-wire with just 2 connected 2} QED silver anniversary bi-wire doubled (both ends)...

Help to choose a new integrateded amplifier before Black Friday.

If you can stretch your budget a bit consider the Cambridge Audio EXA100. When I auditioned it alongside the A25+ & 9000A, the EXA100 was head and shoulders above both in most areas, especially the Audiolab and A25+ also both struggled to drive my Oberon 5 speakers !! The EXA was the clear...

    Odd rumbling sound

What I was thinking. I have moved the coffee table & sofa forward, will try again later, not an ideal setup. Looks like I am in for some serious furniture rearranging this weekend :)

    Odd rumbling sound

OK, I have continued to experiment with speaker placements, even drawing the curtains Opening/closing doors. And have found that if I stand in front of the speakers in a certain spot it pretty much goes, so I wonder is it is something to do with the laminate flooring vibrating ?? I will try...

    Odd rumbling sound

I was thinking rug, i might try putting a load of towels/ duvet down and see if it makes a difference. Currently have speakers on the rubber feet. (Laminate flooring) maybe I could get some tiles etc and add spikes...!
