Thanks Sc1, yes I have used that richersounds a few times although didn't acutally realise they did repairs! Sounds reasonable and did you notice a big difference with your c370?

NAD C370 fading away. Would like to service

I really appreciate that although I did manage to find a download last night of the nad c370 service manual. I would rather it was done by someone who really knows there stuff as although I am competent at soldering I just dont know where to start. I could go as far as following the alignment...

NAD C370 fading away. Would like to service

Hi everyone, I have a NAD c370 which up until about a month ago was sounding fine but recently the sound is starting to become thin, lacks the punch and guts it once had and I guess it could have been going bad for longer than I realised. It just sounds bright and harsh even with my vinyl now...

    IPL Acoustics DIY Speakers

Stunning build - they really do make my IPL's seem inadequate in the size department seeing as my drivers are those little 5" jobbies you have under your gargantuan bass drivers! I am listening to mine now and can fault them! I keep promising to put up a build thread of mine - might get round...

Any advice for a turntable newbie?

Check out charity shops in your local town. Potential gold mines charging as little as 50p/£1 per record. Most of the ones I have bought there are as good if not better than my new stuff, condition wise.

    Made in Japan

Not a chance! No plans to get rid and if it breaks down I'll fix it! £16 for Philips replacement unit I might get a spare in for the hell of it.

Phono amp or new brio R??

Thanks again - Appreciate it! I feel my current cheap phono amp is refusing my NAD of a much fuller sound. The biggest issue really as said before is mains hum which can only be coming from the phono amp. Anyway, new phono amp it is. I will keep a look out. cheers :)

Phono amp or new brio R??

Thanks Nad_Fanatic In your opinion how did the 370 compare with the Brio R. At the retail price of the PP3 I'm quite tempted. Still would be interested to hear a comparison on the above mentioned amps? cheers David

Phono amp or new brio R??

I will be looking to at the very least upgrade my phono amp soon. I have a cheap £20 phono amp bought from ebay just to get me started. I was all sorted to buy a graham slee box but now all this talk of the brio R and its exceptionaly abilities and phono stage I am in two minds what to do? If I...

    Which Graham Slee Phono Amp?

Has anyone tried one of graham slee's DIY phono amp kits? I dont have a great phono amp at present and produces alot of hum.

    Not quite center

I found this aswell and ended up setting the balance one notch to the left to get a more solid soundstage. I dont have an ideal listening enviroment with one of my speakers near a side wall.

    Running in????

I would have thought there is only really one part of a driver that would need any level of break-in. That part being the damper. I personally think more bass comes through after some running time. Engines only really have two main parts that break-in. Cams and piston rings.. That's why break...
