Did you try the game mode for the xbox?, think it shoudl be under options>scene select, might make gaming smother.

Saw the Samsung in JLP today and it was 'ok', probably down to poor demo content and set up in "shop mode" but off that i don't see the fuss.

If gaming is high on the list the Sony 47W805 has been recorde as having low input lag which is good for gaming.

Both will be solid phones with plenty of benfits, what will you primary uses be for the phone (other than making calls of course :p)

Bit of a leftfield shout but the Sony MDR-1 might be up your street, great clarity and not boomy on the bass, they are also very light and comfortable to wear for extended periods, i'm currently using the bluetooth versions which are more bass focused but you might be supprised by the Sony's if...

I'll tend to watch films in 3D if the IMAX version is available, having seen Man of Steel and Pacific Rim in IMAX3d i have to say they were both excellent, i did however choose to watch Wolverine in plain old 2D in my local vue instead (as there is not IMAX showing) which i think is a 4k system...
