Another fine mess you got me into!

007L2Thrill - now that is good news! E-bay has a couple for sale quite cheaply and so that plus decent speaker cable would fit the bill along with second hand Sony Blu-ray player. Problem solved and still money to spare. PS impressive name!

John - sorry I forgot to check the Richer Sounds price! The list price would make it expensive but at Richer it is affordable.

Thanks for that - I am a real novice at home cinema! Still this is alittle more than I can afford. Any cheaper ideas? I'm happy to trawl E-bay!

Thanks for that. I'll start looking and sell the panasonic system as a whole. Very cheap but reliable system for someone!

Hi The only information I can find says that the SB-W340 is an active speaker but I would welcome confirmation.

Thanks for that. I have got the manual for my Panasonic system so I will look at the speakers specifications and see if I can match them. If I hit a problem I'll shout !!

Well I suppose if I spread the purchases over a few months ( and nothing else goes hay-wire at home) I can run to a few hundred - say £350. I should say that I live in a small flat with a lounge no more than 15 ft by 11ft so I don't want to melt the neighbours eardrums but it is such a nice...

Because I like to stick to promises can I say a big thank you to WhatHiFi and Shreena Patel, Sales Administration Officer at Onkyo for sorting this problem out very quickly. My prize arrived this afternoon.

Hi Ben Just to say I have been here before - including back in January to say "thank you" for my prize. Tend to lurk rather than join in. :)

Missing prize - and no response!

:read: Back in January I got an e-mail from the magazine telling me I had won a prize inthe Awards competition - to be precise a Onkyo TX-NR609 AV receiver. I replied as asked with details of my home address and sat and waited until 6 weeks after the closing date for claims. Nothing had...
