In the end I went for stand-mounted Monitor Audio BX2s. I later replaced the centre with a BX Centre and later the rears with BXFXs. I'm very pleased with the setup and it's been a smooth upgrade, sounding good at each stage and better after each improvement.

Just to close this off, I added the centre and was massively impressed. I've just replaced my rears and surrounds with four BX-FXs and the difference is amazing. Great surround speakers.
