Just reading these forums now jyl, was considering the 820 myself, but wondering whether to spend themoney on an older model and get an A1010 or even A2010, I already have Apple TV so Airplay not a problem and don't need 4K - think this was all they really added? Having said that for support...

Hi there I have a very old Pioneer A300X / Tannoy Mercury M2 combo currently hooked up to a Pioneer Kuro telly used mostly for Blue Ray and Sky HD. The amp is understandably showing it's age (joke in there I know) and it's beginning to fail, occasionly the left channel needs "tweaked" to get it...

That's the 720p PX70 and not the 1080p PZ70...

Folks if anyone still cares I thought I'd update on this. I ended up going for the 4280xd, partly because I believed that people were correct on the whole 720p versus 1080p debate for 42" screens. I can report back that the 4280xd is an truly wonderful bit of kit. I though that no flat panel...

I think it's down to the bitrate used when transmitting some channels, higher bitrate equals less compression and less digital artifacts (MPEG style "blocking" and pixelation)

...and just to clarify, that's *if* I plump for the Pioneer, I've not made my mind up yet, waiting for the hdtvtest of the Pana PZ70, especially with respect to SD broadcasts which are still important to me.

I think it will be the 4280 if anything that I'll go for, I just don't like the idea of shelling out an additional £200 for a *stand*, seems like a bit of a rip off to me. The 4280 doesn't have the light sensor, PIP or calibration but from reviews it's just as good as the 428, can someone...
