I've just skimmed through this thread and am extremely confused to say the least! Steve you still own an Elicit-R and have done since at least early July 2014 that I know of, along with a white RP6 turntable, Nagaoka MP200 cart and RS3 speakers. Pictures of which you've shared on Facebook...

The RS1's are loads better than the price would suggest and sounded very Impressive on the end of the Elicit-R, better than the floorstanders I thought!

The sweet spot for me was around £1000 or just over. I bought a Rega RP6 and at the same time listened to an RP8 at twice the price which sounded nothing like twice as good!

I've can also recomend the Rega DAC-R very highly, it goes superb with the apollo r. I've had a lengthy listen to it at my local dealers recently through an elicit r and it sounded amazing. I'll be looking into getting this combo myself at a later date.
