High res, Apple Mac Mini, Bluesound Powernode

Thank you very much for your advice, Shipworm. 😂

High res, Apple Mac Mini, Bluesound Powernode

Correct. I will use the USB input on the Powernode to hook up a hard disk with my music files. 😀 It has a Toslink (Optical) input though. The Mac Mini has a Toslink output. Could this work? Or do I need an extra dac with Toslink out?

High res, Apple Mac Mini, Bluesound Powernode

How can I connect a Mac Mini to the Powernode enabling it to stream high res from Apple Music? In my old system the Mac Mini was connected by a USB cable to a Musical Fidelity V-link 192. This was connected to my amp by coax. The Powernode doesn't have a coax input, therefore rendering the...

    speaker and multiroom system

I would suggest a Bluesound Powernode (model 2021). It has eARC. Pair it off with Kef LS50Meta speakers. The Powernode sounds far better than my NAD D7050 amp with the same speakers, Bowers & Wilkins 685 S2. Maybe I will purchase the Kef LS50Meta speakers to replace my B&W speakers, but for...

Bluesound Pulse 2i or Pulse P300?

I have decided to return the Pulse 2i as well as the Pulse Mini 2.i. I didn't like the sound of these speakers. I will keep my NAD Viso1 AP speaker as this sounds better in my opinion. It will not be able to communicate with the Bluesound Powernode and form a multi room system. I will have to...

New System to Play Music and TV Sound

You could digitize your cd collection. This will save you much space. (We lived on a boat where space is scarce. A new book in meant another book out.) You could put the files on a portable disk (1 or 2 TB) and connect this to the Powernode. It will give you access to your cd collection in the...

New System to Play Music and TV Sound

I just bought a Bluesound Powernode and I am very satisfied with the sound. It sounded better than my NAD D7050 amplifier. I kept the same speakers. They sound also better. The soundstage is very good. You can connect your new TV via eARC. You have many different streaming channels to choose...

Bluesound Pulse 2i or Pulse P300?

I am currently looking into the Bluesound system. I have read the review on the Pulse 2i, which is quite disappointing. I have a Pulse Mini 2i at the moment that I listen to. I find the sound too skinny/light. It does not sound full. I think it lacks bass. I have ordered the Pulse 2i to listen...
