I have read after this topic that going back a few years that Thorens do have their modern turntables made in China but more than likely designed in Germany. Take Cambridge Audio their stuff is designed in the UK but built in China and there is nothing wrong with their products.

Not my misguided opinion. He has said on numerous occasions that the Chinese turntables are only good for landfill.

So the turntable will only be good for landfill.
