thank you very much for all indications. My Zenbook has been checked through MyAsus and is up to the latest updates; but thanks to your suggestions I went to Windows update and I found yet another update that was not automatically installed, and now things SEEM to be back to normal....

I like very much the Dragonfly sound and I have two black units that I've been using at home and on the road for lecturing. I bought a Red in order to try the improvements, but in a few days after a windows update it stopped working correctly - disappears from the system, hangs up the computer...
