I have an iPhone, but assume I'd need to plug it in as the battery wouldn't last, which I don't really want to do ideally? I have a stereo amp and CD player currently, so no DAC to access, but am considering purchasing one to link my DVD and smart TV in (which are both next to the hifi.)

Sorry if this has been answered already, but I couldn't find it easily. I'm wanting to get Spotify running through my hifi without the need to use a laptop. I've seen the Sonos Connect and that seems to work, but is that the best way or are there other better/cheaper options? Thanks!

Thanks for all your suggestions. I have decided the best way forward for me is to keep the CDP and just get amp and speakers. I still prefer the idea of having an amp rather than just active speakers I'm afriad. I demoed both the Cyrus 8DAC and the Musical Fideleity M1 (DAC, Clic and Power)...
