Judging how well my pair of Wilson Benesch Vector work with my D-Premier, I would recommend either them or the bookshelf Vertex.
Those speakers are incredibly under-rated, I haven't heard anything better among "reasonnably priced" offerings.

I had the chance to compare a few months ago a mid end 20 years old Yamaha amp to a Marantz PM6004 (or something approaching)... and the difference was extremely obvious, to the extend that the owner of the system (that includes an excellent pair of speakers) immediately heard the difference...
I can recommend the PS Audio P10.
Works wonders with the D-Premier. On the other hand the D1 doesn't draw much power at all so it may not be helpful after all...

I have been using a top range 46VT3 for 8 months and just love it. Zeo issues, great design and by far the best image quality I have seen anywhere. This is my first Panasonic screen, but it has simply redefined the expectations I had for flat screen TVs.

I'll work on pics. :)
I got the cable second hand at less than half its initial street price here in Tokyo, wouldn't spend that much on a cable otherwise.

Quick update on my setup that has undergone very extensive changes these past 6 months (only the speakers and speaker cables remain).
Main source is now Mac mini 2010 running OSX 10.6.6

For what is it worth, I have been using a like new second hand UX-3SE for about one month. It is connected to a Denon AVP-A1HD, the power amp is a Rotel RB-1090 feeding a pair of B&W 804s. XLR connects are Chord Chorus 2, speaker cable are Chord Epic...
JohnDuncan:Views on the Neutron V Bernard?
So far so good. They are very sharp speaker that deliver a surprising amount of bass considering their size. I find them to be a tad bright perhaps, but this could be the result of the lesser cables I am currently using them with. This will be solved...
Thanks. I does clearly sound better than with the speakers on the floor like they used to be. The sound seems to be more controlled with cleaner bass.
I do not have any other stand to compare it to though, no idea how good it could sound with best in class pro gear.
For now I like to think it...
As promised, here is pic of the beast. Be gentle please, this is my first attempt at speaker stands creation. :)
The central column is made of PVC and filled with a mix of sands of various densities.
Cheers,
Bernard
Dear all,
Am I the only one to be surprised by the current short list of 2008 products, including the presence of a 2 stars rated cable???
Regards,
Bernard
Thanks for the kind replies.
I have finally decided to make my own stands, it is underway and I should be able to report on that in a few days (I'll post a few pics). I have selected pretty good raw materials, and the cost will end up being about 80 pounds as well... but it is the very design I...
