    Denon AVC-X3800H

I think this may find a niche where one doesn't currently exist, as an affordable pre-processor. The addition of dirax and 4 sub outputs, mean adding a power-amp or 2could well be a much cheaper option that what currently exists for those wanting to move to separates. Its always frustrated me...

Question subwoofers not working and room correction software benefits

update: factory reset on the amp solved nothing other than losing my settings. Next step is to loan an amp and see if that fixes it. Thanks

Question subwoofers not working and room correction software benefits

Thanks. I have already tried connecting a phono output to the subs (both of them) and I get sound. I hadnt considered a factory reset on the amp. It will mean finding my old microphone to recalibrate or running without any room correction. But thanks I will give that a go.

Good. Yes once you spend a s**t load of cash on something you tend not to be in a hurry to replace it. :) For calibration I used chap called Gordon Fraser of Convergent AV (he's based in scotland but travels all over). Really nice bloke but dont get talking to him too much or he wil have...

    Ripping Vinyl to Flac....Help!

Yep.. Feel a bit daft now. But it was down to user error. Im sure buying a better turntable with a better stylus, getting a better external pre-phono amp, a better sound card and better music manipulation software will all improve the quality even more but as this is a one off exercise the...

    Ripping Vinyl to Flac....Help!
