Afternoon David, I stream Tidal/Spotify using my Cambridge Audio 751r into a pair of KEF r500. Tidal sounds glorious through the KEFs. I would definitely recommend getting a demo if you can.

The KEFs are excellent speakers (I have the r500s). You could try pick up a pair of cm8s ex demo and keep things Bowers & Wilkins? About a year back I had the cm8s & pv1d at home on demo, sounded very nice. Rick.

Have a listen to the Cambridge Audio 751r you may be surprised by how good it sounds with music and movies. I previoulsy had the LX86 which supposedly has oodles of power. The Cambridge is in a different league altogether. http://hometheaterreview.com/cambridge-audio-azur-751r-av-receiver/?page=2

Cheers for all the input lads, I personally find the Pioneer shocking with music, hence the hifi amp. Laying an extra pair of speaker cable from the hifi amp with banana plugs and just swopping over seems a good idea.

Your not familiar with the 751bd then?? :-) i'll be using the dedicated 2channel stereo outputs on the CA as my source.

Morning Lads, I'm contemplating getting a dedicated stereo amp and connecting it through my Pioneer. Is the sound effected in any way as it goes through my Pioneer?? Or anything I should/need to know ??

Anyone updated yet?? My 751 is still saying it has the latest firmware despite the CA website saying it's out today??

I was referring to when I had my Marantz AVR setup using the 751bd's analoges. The Marantz put a smile on my face, the Pioneer does not. However, the Pioneer is much much better for movies.

I've wired it up via the coax with a Chord Prodac and I've heard my system sounding better with stereo when using it's dedicated 2 channel analogue out puts. The attenuators are pretty pointless because the signal will still be going through the Pioneer?

Spoke to CA who kindly pointed me in the direction of the 751R which has a 2v output lol. something i'd consider to honest. The Pioneer is clearly not able to give me what i need from it. Either that or buy a dedicated amp. They also said to give these a go...

Ok thanks, ill have a look. Just been fiddling about with my kit, this OVER signal is very frustraring!! I previously said OVER didn't show when the 7.1 analogue outputs were used. Well in fact it does, i'd previously applied a trim level of 2db to the 751. When I put it back to zero earlier...
