A basic receiver is what I wanted in the first place. Yamaha has a good sound for my vinyls, I already have RIIA, balance control is in remote contfol, speaker connections are good enough for me. So, why not...? And what comes to sound differences with amps or things like that, I believe that...

I gave up Sony, returned it and bought Yamaha R-S202D receiver. Suits better for my purposes.

just bought a used Sony STR-DH790 receiver. I use it with only two speakers, listening to my vinyl records. How do I change the balance of speakers (the right speaker should be little louder than the left one? I don't have subwoofer, how do I increase bass, if necessary?
