hi, I have the freeview box into the sound bar via hdma for picture and optical for the sound. Yje soundbar then feeds the TV via hdmi out. I have tweaked 'audio delay' slightly in your ysp settings to get a good sync.

Please note the Spendor A5's are not bi-wireable.

As Mr Everard points out you go: PC/laptop - Type A USB socket out to USB type b at the DAC end.From that you need analogue to your Hi fi amp. Or if your chosen DAC has coaxial digital output you can buy one of them to go into your amplifier.

As well as those DAC's reviewed try the rather petite Beresford Caiman DAC. Before I bought a Cyrus DAC I had this and for a modest £200 outlay it improved my music files ,both from my laptop or from my Onkyo/ipod combination. With the laptop upgrade to a Wireworld USB.

Hi, What does the led display on your 8xpd say when you play digital music files? ; mine is normally 48z which I thought would be a higher bit rate ?It is 44.1 if i play files via laptop and USB but only 48z via optical or coaxial digital.

Hi, Off kilter comment but what does your cyrus amp say on the led when you input music files ie when i use my Apple classic through an onkyo nds1 Dock it states 48kz sometimes it states 44.1 but it seems a low bitrate: any thoughts?
