my DREAM system. oh, maybe one day...

The conversion worked very well. The response of the speaker is good, including directivity. I still cannot believe how powerful these small speakers are. With the 250W amp for LF and dual high-Xmax woofers they pump out clean 30Hz easily and go even lower. I did not expect that. I am still...

my DREAM system. oh, maybe one day...

Here is an update for those who remember this one - The old speakers are still alive or rather reincarnated - converted into 3-way DSP Hypex-based actives with dual woofers (Dayton Epique 150E), SB Acoustics midrange and and SB Acoustic waveguided tweeters. The amps are Hypex FA 253. This was...

Calling BigBoss and others re new HT and network

thank you, BB. I also went to see it in a shop and it was fine. Inspected all the installed cabling today and all looks good. Hope to do the final set up just before Christmas, after all the built in shelf units, speakers and tv are installed. I decided to switch to the CP version of the speakers.

Calling BigBoss and others re new HT and network

BB, sounds good. I'll probably go with it on your recommendation. John Lewis site only mentions freesat HD, not freeview HD, but I hope it is just an omission, it does have freeview HD, right? Does it have a separate connection box or not?

Calling BigBoss and others re new HT and network

Thank you, BB. After a short research I was leaning to the very Monitor Audio 200 series myself! I think I iwll settle on CT280 for L, R and C and CT 265 for the rear pair. Zone 2 kitchen music will be also CT280. I see the new slim Marantz 1607 does the same in terms of zones as the SR6010...

Calling BigBoss and others re new HT and network

What I don't understand is why so many in ceiling speakers do not have enclosures. How is it ensured that they work properly and the sound does not leak to the other side of the ceiling?
