    Naim Nait 50 Anniversary

All I can say about the NAIT is I had an original 45 years ago. It was very good at that time but not impressive after my upgrading to a Burmester 838 MC pre. MM basically sucks. Upgrading to a MC cartridge and especially with a pre/power setup is another world. Its not cheap, its called...

Question Speakers suggestion for Marantz PM-8003

Funny how he tagged the sites 2 main speaker recommendations. IMO you would be a mug to buy either but that depends on where you are in your Hi-Fi journey. Much better can be got if you look. Just saying....

IMO they are both poor value for money compared to second hand B&W 683 Series 2. Thanks for the sponsored response. Being paid to offer poor advice should not be allowed.

Question Speakers suggestion for Marantz PM-8003

If you want floor standing then get 3 way speakers. A good buy second hand is the B&W 683 series 2. Expect to pay around Euro 900. They are absolutely amazing and great value at this price point. Read the reviews, they are incredible speakers ! A decent alternative would be a second hand pair of...

EAR 834P Phono stage. Buzzing sound

IMO Servisol wont last. Everything else you suggested is uneconomical. Even if its repaired its not a great item and certainly not sustainable. Time to invest in a proper upgrade. Not EAR

EAR 834P Phono stage. Buzzing sound

Personally I'd get an 838, they come up on eBay for under £1k and Burmester fully support them. It is a referance standard phono stage (pre amp) and generally rated in top 5 ever made. It's a dual mono design with military grade components and therefore no cross talk with virtually unmeasurable...

EAR 834P Phono stage. Buzzing sound

Yes. My advice is as I said. Solution is either new valves or valve seats (very likely). Possible other problems would basically involve full testing/repair and would probably not be worth the expense. Its old and everything reaches a point where you need to replace it. EAR are known for...

EAR 834P Phono stage. Buzzing sound

Try wriggling the valves around. Common EAR issue is the sockets they sit it. You may need to replace all 3 but bad connection on valves is the biggest issue with EAR.
