Compact amplifier with phono input, under £500

I find that a strange design choice as I'm constantly adjusting the bass and trebble to suite the types of music I listen to. My setup is mostly suited to electronic music, but that doesn't mean I don't listen to classical etc. I've yet to find anyone with a "perfect" setup that suits all types...

Compact amplifier with phono input, under £500

I guess the down side to compact amps is the lack of bass and treble adjustment right? Means you have to get your speaker and room setup absolutely spot on, as there is know tuning the output at all. Unless I'm missing something?

What one album would you recommend that you think many people may not have heard?

Probably the most beautiful electronic album I have ever heard, but yet still with a bit of drive. Perfect working from home material View: https://open.spotify.com/album/7pBDu7nc2KaMsh0SfZMc2d?si=o9PbPSRVT6CHejl0niOy0A

Double DAC'ing and the Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital ?

I own a Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 (not the ultra). I only use Spotify connect on a single room system so it does the job well. However recently I have been looking at DACS and the Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital seems like a good fit. my question: I assume is the Box S2 must have a dac already? So...

Compact amplifier with phono input, under £500

Really like the Brio, also like the look of the Cyrus One as well, but was wondering if there are any options at a lower price point?

Compact amplifier with phono input, under £500

I am looking for a compact amplifier with phono input, under £500. I'm really pushed for space so really need something small. I only play vinyl, so a simple amp would work. I have a Technics 1210mk2 and a pair of Tannoy DC6. Currently hooked up to a Rotel RA-10 which I'm looking to replace...

    KEF LS50 disappointment :(

I think the problem here is the amp you have them pared with, the size of the room you have them in and maybe a lack of a decent stand...are you using stands? to quote What HiFi "Given a little space to breathe and mounted on a pair of solid stands these monitors sound terrific. The first...

Speaker cables for Dali Zensor 3

Unless you have some seriously hard to drive speakers, over a massive distance, at stupidly loud volumes.....and need a huge amount of detail to be perfectly and faithfully reproduced, speaker cables make next to know difference at all! Save yourself a load of time... You can get high quality...

Building a Vinyl system for £2000

Should have added that the reason I went for the Rotel was because of the Phono Stage you get for the $$$. What Hi Fi said that it had no right being this good for the money :) that sounded pretty good to me and it is...stunning. matched with the Rega and a decent cartridge I'm not sure you...

Building a Vinyl system for £2000

I think it really depends on how much of your budget you really want to spend on hi fi. i was in the same position as you...mate moved away from Australia and gave me his entire vinyl collection to 'look after' :) i ended up getting an ex demo Rotel RA-10 to replace a Sony I had for $200...
