Hello all! I've just splashed out on a Panasonic 50" VT50, and I was wondering, while putting 3D aside and going on just performance, if I necessarily needed to upgrade my BD85 to perhaps a BDT500 inorder to match the new TV better? As most of us know, the BD85 has long been a discontinued...

The evidence is in the What Hi-Fi magazines. Thats the evidence - and i don't write the magazines, just repeating what i read. And even on quality, the Chord Supershield is superior to ThatCable according to the magazine.

Sorry to again deviate from the topic, Clare. Hi, hilltribe. Just curious - you say you have the BD85 Blu-ray player? Can you please tell me your calibration settings so i can compare them to mine and decide if i should make any changes in-order to fully optimise the player.
