Hi, I am looking at the Yamaha rxv3900 but it has now been produced for about a year and before purchasing one would like to know if there is a replacement model due out soon, or is there another amp i should be considering around the same price, i do need two hdmi outputs as currently run a tv and projector, i have B+W MT30 surround package. Thanks for any advice.

There is no word on this amplifier changing this season but as you rightly say it has been around for a while. I would expect a replacement around Easter.
As for alternatives at the £1000 mark there are quite a few - the Pioneer LX52 and LX72 are both brand new and very capable. If you like a more upfront sound then the Onkyo NR1007 is very good choice. It has the benefit of an add on DAB module if that is of interest.
