Yamaha DSP-3070 vs Marantz PM6005/simlar

Hi all,

Picked up a Yamaha DSP-3070 recently which I am using only as a 2 channel Hi-Fi amp, it completely blew me away how good it sounds compared to my previous set-up of a Beresford Caiman TC-7520SE into a recapped (Elna Silmic II/Orange Drops) Denon UPA-F07 Amplifier.

Audio Source = Computer - Flac - foobar - wasapi event - QED Performance graphite optical out.

Q1. How would this amp compare to a modern Amplifier like the Marantz PM6005.

Q2. What do you think I would have to spend on a modern 2 channel Amplifier to reach the same audio quality of the Yamaha DSP-3070 in 2 channel mode.

Gonna stick with it for a while, however it would be nice to see how this Amp compares with mordern amps (specificaly 2 channel/HI-FI Amps).
