Yamaha A-S500 v A-S1000

So here's the dilemma:

one of the local Yamaha dealers is selling their stock of Yamaha A-S1000's at half price - $1200 Australian (760 pounds). The cheapest price that I can source a Yamaha A-S500 for is $600 Australian (380 pounds).

Obviously that's good deal on the A-S1000. Any thoughts on which way I should jump?

If you can stretch to the extra cash, my choice would be the 1000. A better amp overall I imagine.
