hi, i picked up my Rel 305 which finally replaced my appalling PV1 yesterday and have a demo booked today for the B&W XT series. floorstanders on the front with bookshelfs on the rear. has anyone got experience of these and are they another compromised lifestyle product like the PV1? or are they good, detailed speakers? running them in 5.1 with a denon 4308 amp. thanks

Why would you even bother demoing another B&W product when you think the PV1 is appalling. Now, I haven't listened to it but every magazine, and everyone I know who has, raves over it. You sound like you have already made your mind up already.
