Firstly, I must make it clear that this is purely hypothetical, at least for the foreseeable future.
I have an Audiolab M-DAC and listen with a pair of Shure SRH1540s and I am very happy with the results, playing CD quality rips (WAV or FLAC) from my PC using Foobar2000 and ASIO for All, as recommended by Audiolab.
Does the M-DAC have enough to give such that a better pair of cans might sound appreciably better, should I suffer an attack of upgrade-itis in the future?
