from a mate on another forum:
We
have recently moved, and the new abode has a completely different
configuration to the old one, living room-wise. We have sussed out
where we want the hi-fi to be, and the socking great Jamo D266
speakers. Yes, I know, getting on a bit now, but they still sound good.
Thing
is, they used to simply sit either side of the kit, but now they need
to be along another wall. This will mean much longer cables. I don't
know if the original hefty copper jobbies (which did have quite a bit
of slack) will reach. But, even if they do, they will have to be laid
in such a way as not to trip people up coming through a doorway, and
I'm doubtful if they can be easily buried under the relevant carpet
gripper.
Assuming anyone is still awake, what I'm wondering is:
does anyone make a wireless system (bit like wireless headphones) that
will retro fit to old fashioned conventional speakers? Or am I going to
be stuck with having to buy a pair of new style wireless speakers?
Moving=skint, so I don't want to go that route if I can avoid it.
any ideas?
