I am having Sky HD fitted tomorrow but the wiring is just a liitle short for where i have moved my tv to. the engineer has contacted me today to confirm he is coming and i have told him this and said i would prefer it to be re wired (i am paying for the installation AGAIN). He tells me he can use a connector and this will not affect the quality but i have my doubts.
Will extending Sky cable with connector affect the quality

Any join's in the cable will increase signal loss, but by how much and and whether it's noticable will depend on how good your signal is to begin with. However, it is sky policy that a continuos cable must be used from the LNB to the receiver so if your cable isn't long enough it should be replaced and not joined. The installer will be aware of this so make sure he change's it.
