I would add this Sony to your list too:

Get John Lewis to price match at a lower price though. And I would take a look at Panasonic plasmas too. Not sure with your list.

Hi-Chris 86

Over the philips the panasonic is a no brainer, also consider looking at last years plasmas still being sold for good prices and with the 5yr warantee

I bought the GT-50-50in for £750 with glasses and 5yr warantee, I understand that john lewis still have some left worth looking. But out of your choice the panasonic is the way to go IMO. 8)

Many thanks for all your replies, ideally I would like to go for as frameless as possibe, and 55" is my prefered choice. that Sony is nice, but may I ask why in your opinion yo would go for that over the others? and plasma tvs I can concider I know they take more power but at the end of the day I want the best picture I can buy with my budget

The Sony is a better all-round TV than the others. The others you mention are good 4 star TVs, the Sony is a step up for me. I have also seen another good deal, this one:

Panasonic plasma TVs are a cut above the rest now. Expert reviewers rate them as the best and so do people who purchase them.
