Which speakers.

Room 6 X 4 mtr.Set up ambition quality music and DVD.Settled on the Onkyo TX-SR605 with either the Toshiba HD-EP35 or MarantzDV700. I was trying to ship to Dubai Tannoy mercury F1 and would still like to but also found the Arcam muso/logo which I am arguing the price. However due to the Dubai shopping festival I have been offered a package deal as follows.

After reading the postings on here I am going to hold back on a HDDVD and hook up a PS3 to the Onkyo TX-SR605.I do like the EVO and the Monitor but I am now confused which to go with offers I have been given as packages.

All packages include Onkyo TX-SR605 with either one of the following speaker packages.

Wharfedales (EVO 2-30 + EV02 cen + EVO 2-8 + SW-150) sterling 792/-.

Monitor Bronze BR2av sterling 1135/-

Wharfedales (diamond 9.6 + 9CM +9.1+ SW-250) Sterling 1014/-

Arcam Muso/Logo sterling 1407/-

KEF KHT3005SE sterling 1243/-

Can someone advise quickly which way to go......

Strange how some queries for advise are meet with responses while others are not. Yet sometime the queries are one of the same. Any thoughts to the logic of this?

I think the most common and probably best pairing is the KEF 3005SE, with the Onkyo.

I'd agree with Richard, go with the KEF 3005SE. They're our Style Speaker Product of the Year 2007, thanks to their top movie and music performance. You won't be disappointed.

The MA Bronze BR2 package would make a good second choice. It's a fine set-up (5 stars), although we found the front and rear speakers don't blend quite as well as some other speaker packages we've tested.

KEF SE`s not in Dubai for awhile yet and been popular in the UK prices are high. Open for alternatives (see previous postings).
