I would like to pair this mini system with Wharfedale 9.4 however the NAD gives only 2x 25W and these speakers have a 86dB sensitivity. Would it still be ok? I listen to blues and jazz at reasonable levels. I prefer 9.4 instead of 9.2 because I dont want to buy additional standers. What about Wharfedale 9.5? 88db sensitivity.

Another option would be MA BR2 but again..the standers.

Its nearly impossible to go and listen to various configs because of my job. Any advice will be most appreciated!

Look up AVG307 on Ebay and see if they still have any Diamond 8.3+ floorstanders. They are incredible speakers and I got mine for £89.99. Great for blues and jazz.. Biggest hi-fi bargain ever!

I'll have to buy them new. 9.4 with its 86dB sensitivity will need more than 2x25w to run smooth?

take the amp with you to audition spkrs! i'm sure the nad will drive most spkrs to pretty high levels. when nad began its existence with their now classic 3020 the company stated the little 20-watter was built to drive spkrs in the 85-88 db efficiency range.

This is what you'll be wanting. 89db sensitivity.
