which dvd player ???

hi i am looking for a dvd player that will upscale dvd and more importantly play sacd and dvd audio. space is tight and i have narrowed it down to either, pioneer dv-610av or oppo dv981hd. anybody familier with any of these as to which will be best ?

I suggest you get this one. It can be found for 90 to £100 now, it's one of the best out there. Can't wait to get mine

That Tosh doesn't play SACD or DVD-A. After the HD-DVD farce, I won't be buying another Toshiba product anytime soon either. I must admit, I haven't kept up with DVD players of late but do remember the budget Sonys, Pioneers and Oppos were all good. My last DVD player was a £90 Sony and it's still used in my bedroom setup. I'll change it to bluray in due course.

dvd-a is dvd audio basically music mixed in 5.1 surround.
