Which cdp upgrade route for Yamaha as2000

Having recently acquired a Yamaha as2000 amp last week I am considering a second hand Yamaha CDs 2000 to replace a marantz CD 6003. But after a bit of a look around on the internet, I am also considering a audiolab mdac connected to the marantz CDP .

Speakers are eb1 acoustics. The mdac seems to have a high quality DAC, not too sure about the yammie. My heat says the yamaha cdp, the brain says the mdac.

What would you do?

why not trying the Audiolab 8200CD?

it is a great cd player plus an excellent DAC built-in.

Share your impressions about the amp. i am interested in this model as i want to build a second system with the little Spendors.

I have both of Yamaha's flagship amp &sacd player.

They fly the Yamaha banner at a very high level.
