Which cdp Kandy MKIII or Cyrus cd6 se

At the and I decided to buy Roksan Kandy MKIII for my B&W683's. My dealer has a special offer on Roksan Kandy MKIII+MKIII cdp for 2,100 usd(normal price is 3,000). But, I am not sure to go with MKIII cdp or buying an Cyrus cd6 se. If I go with cyrus+roksan it will cost me 3000. Is it worth extra 1,000.

Noooooo. Not in my opinion. Shoot that money towards some nice new speakers.

the kandy cdp sounds great through the kandy amp but wont enjoy being partnered with speakers that are harsh in the treble. i think they sound better on a speaker with strong bass output rather then something lean. i'm not passing comment on the b+w's because i haven't heard them. the cyrus cd6se is a better cd player then the kandy, i think it has more punch and attack, and vocals sound a lot better. also, with some amps the kandy cdp can have a bit of an edge to the treble, so the cyrus is a better bet if you plan on upgrading the amp at some point. if you think you won't be buying any new kit for the foreseeable future, i would be inclined to agree with raypalmer.

having had both and living in north american understanding prices, take the hit and go with the cyrus...its the right thing to do for now and long term.
