Marco, welcome to the forum.

What is your budget and how do you like your system to sound (eg. brighter or smoother)?

tks André for your quick reply,

i like classical music, budget around 1000 euro,

at this time i am listening to a marantz av receiver, but i know these speakers can do better on a proper amp,

got the idea to buy the marantz pm 8005 or the marantz pm pearl lite, however, i am a newby, so pse give me some

directions, ideas,,

tks,

tks a lot for your comments,

however,, no bi-amp?

just because my quad 23L has possibility to connect both low and high,,

arcam and creek just simple connections,

should i look for bi amp connections??

tks,

To bi-amp, you need 2 power amplifiers per speaker, which a 2 channel amp doesn't have.

I would try my suggestions and see how you get on, as i don't believe you will find biamping (or biwiring) necessary.

tks again for your wise words,

does bi-wiring connection any good to these speakers? currently, my marantz av receiver can't do that job ,

perhaps a good amp with those possibilities??

Biwiring can be achieved with speaker cable that has 2 connectors at the amp end and 4 connectors at the speaker end.

Some speakers respond better than others, but I'm not familiar with your Quads. If it was me, I would just replace the links on the speakers with the speaker cable you are using and keep them single wired.

IME. Concentrate on the amp first, then worry about the S/C at a later stage.
