Hi Everyone

Marantz PM6003 or NAD C326BEE?

Your earlier feedback has been very useful. I am ready to pick up one of the two:

Marantz PM 6003 or NAD C326BEE.

Luckily I was able to audition them locally. The Amps were paired with Dali Lektor 2s. I could not try them with Monitor Audio Bronnze BX2. Both sounded pretty decent. Which of these two Amps would be a better choice?

Also which pair of Speakers - Dali Lektor 2 or Monitor Audio Bronze BX2 ? (Or any other recommendation).

I shall be adding Marantz CD Player 6003 soon to complete the system.

Thank you so much for your help.

Short answer, now that you've heard them, would be along the lines of which one is better for your needs - coming to a decision based on which one anyone in here thinks is "better" could only add unnecessary issues to the mix.

Did you like what you heard, does each amp have the connectivity and functionality you need...that kind of thing. "Better" is pretty subjective, but if you heard them both in action, you're presumably in a position to check that off, so what you're left with after the form is the function!

I agree with most of what you say. To be honest with you I could not find much difference between the two. I have liked both equally. It seems I would have to decide by tossing. In case you were to pick one of these two, which one would you? Thanks.

If you can't choose between them sonically, I'd go with visuals and plump for the Marantz seeing as you're buying the Marantz CDP.

Hi Steven, if it was my money, I'd go for the Marantz. Used their products a lot over the years and like what they do (as well as the styling). The reality is it's going to be relatively similar specs more or less.

If you're going for the Monitor Audio speakers, you might be better off with the NAD as I said before. The Marantz/Monitor audio mix can become fatiguing, at least to my ears.

How often do you play music? is it long sessions? if the answer is yes then the Marantz would be the better choice, and it'll look and have the better synergy.

Hi Steven kay

The C326BEE and in particular if you are considering the Bronze BX2's as tonally they work well together. I have found this pairing can be listenind to for hours without fatigue

The C326BEE also features the legendary NAD PowerDrive circuit which is likely to offer greater control, drive and stability at comparable levels with either set of speakers :)

Btw, have you looked at cabling?

All the best

When I bought the Marantz CD player (CD6003) I listened in the shop via the Maranz amp PM6003 amp - and I liked the sound.

When I brought the CDP home I attached it to my NAD amp (not the same one) and prefered the 2 together. As I like the NAD amp sound

Have you listened to the CDP with both amps? - if they are both OK then - well (as has been said) to the eye the Marantz will fit better.

Hi plastic penguin

I would have thought it ideal for a system to perform well regardless of the frequency or duration of use :)

Indeed, hence why I'd choose the Marantz... :)
